Thinking about my zombie book:)

Well, Footsteps of the Undead is finally beginning to trickle onto places. It's not a perfect book. There were one or two errors that snuck by into the retail copy. I always try to get a perfect book but one or two errors usually slip through. Anyway, I'm just thinking back about the uniqueness of Footsteps of the Undead. I'm just concerned that dud to lack of marketing funds and the book being independent it doesn't get the love it deserves. Oh we'll:(

Overall the novelette has a tremendously bold idea that most likely will die in obscurity. I can't say that doesn't bother me but nothing I can really do. The horror genre as a whole really frustrates me. That's one of the reasons I started writing horror stories in the first place. A great dissatisfaction for mainstream productions. Such is life.

New book Released!

Well, it's been a while since I posted anything. I haven't had much to talk about. Anyway, now I do. I have recently released a new ebook about zombies. I tried to take the story back to its roots and stray away from the whole biological infection angle. Instead, Footsteps of the Undead, goes back to creepier ideas like voodoo and supernatural creatures. Here is the amazon link for the Novella at amazon.  Footsteps of the Undead retails at 3.99 or so. Also available on sites like kobo, scribd, Diesel ebooks and coming soon to Barnes and noble. Enjoy:)

My book is ranked at a decent spot on Diesel ebooks. It was number ten but now it is sixteen. I'm sure it will drop more but for now it's in a decent spot. Here is the link

"Howarth’s writing contains powerful descriptions of people and places. The world-building is inventive and compelling, skillfully conveying the bleak atmosphere both above and below the surface. The author displays an impressive talent for capturing the subtleties of human behavior—whether horrific or selfless—in such a way as to make even the most impossible scenarios seem realistic."- Foreword Clarion Reviews

"Talented author Jamie Horwath crafts an intriguing, action-packed tale with his short novella, A Breath Before Sunrise."- Foreword Clarion Reviews

I am very happy with the results of the review. I mean I knew the story of the book was solid but I wasn't sure how a critic would react to the subject matter. By the look of things everything seemed to fall into place. I hope you check out the book. Here is a quick link for the Amazon availability. Don't miss out on my best work to date.

A Breath Before Sunrise hit 53 on the top 100 horror books on ITunes

I haven't blogged in a bit. To be honest I haven't had much to talk about. I've been swimming a lot lately. Anyway, I checked some of the ITunes logs on the net and found out that on June 2, 2012 my book, A Breath Before Sunrise, hit #53 on the top 100 horror books in the U.S.A. That was an extremely big deal for me. Of course, the book didn't stay there but just the fact that it made it that high was an accomplishment. Not bad for an independent horror novella. That's some prestigious company.

Devils vs Rangers game six Eastern Conference Finals.

I'll be at the game.

The Devils are looking to put away the demons of 94 with a series closing win tomorrow night. All the hoopla about this being the anniversary of Messier's guarantee really doesn't hold up now as the teams have different players. One of the players that was on the Devils team was of course Brodeur. If the Devils win Broduer's career would kind of come full circle. I'm not sure if this will be his last year but what a way to go out. Riding off to the cup finals and beating the Rangers 18 years later from the heartbreaking loss in the conference finals to the Rangers.

Let's Go Devils!!! Rock the Rock!!!

Knicks clinch playoff birth!

After a rollercoaster of a season the Knicks finally sealed the deal and clinched a playoff spot. It’s been a rough road and very tense at times but they did it. Down the stretch the Knicks have been lights out riding the shoulders of Anthony. Plagued with injuries this year the Knicks have persevered through it all and managed to lock down a playoff spot. Hopefully, they won’t be a one and done like some of the pundits are predicting. Most likely the Knick will square off against the Heat. Some say they would rather the Knicks face off against another foe but they will have to get past the Heat anyway so why not do it in the first round. If the Knicks can get past the Heat then they have a great chance at getting to the finals. Anyway, it looks like New York basketball is making a come back little steps at a time. Maybe next year they can get the division title and have an easier first round match up then the perennial all star team that the Heat have assembled. Anyway, GO KNICKS!
